Family Travel Tips

Road trips are exciting – especially in an Isuzu D-Max. To ensure everyone enjoys the same sense of adventure, here are a few tips we hope may help…

Isuzu reliability is built-in for life providing you look after your vehicle by having it regularly serviced. Here at White Horse Motors we have professionally trained and equipped technicians and will only ever use Isuzu genuine parts.

Satellite Navigation

Check out your route online at home before you go is always a wise decision. You’ll be able to identify traffic build-ups or incidents which can then help you avoid unnecessary delays. It’s crucial to make sure that your Satellite Navigation system has the latest software installed. If you’re unsure on how to know if your Satellite Navigation is running the latest softwarte, please don’t hesitate to contact us, we will be glad to help.

In Car Entertainment

Your Isuzu’s digital and in-car entertainment features mean that even the most impatient travellers are quickly and happily occupied. Isuzu has its own mobile broadband hub to create an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot. Up to 10 devices can join the hotspot. Joining the hotspot will allow you to surf the internet on the move. You’ll also be able to access social media, films, music, games and so much more. For young film fans, we stock a Rear Seat Entertainment Holder that’s custom designed for the iPad. Fitted here at White Horse Motors, the Holder attaches securely and allows for the iPad to be adjusted for optimal viewing.

All mechanical care of your tyres we recommend you leave that our professional trained technicians. however there are some pre-travel safety checks that are easy to carry out at home. Check that your tyres are inflated to the correct PSI (shown in the owner’s manual) ensure that your tyres have enough tread left (UK law states that the minimum depth of the tread on your tyres is 1.6 millimetres, across the central ¾ of the tread around the complete circumference) and finally that they’re free from any nicks, cuts and foreign debris.

This may seem obvious, yet you wouldn’t believe how many families set off on long journeys without, having any food or drink. Staying well fed and properly hydrated has so many benefits such as improving concentration levels, this is very important for the driver.
